Since returning to his solo moniker, Pedro Lima, aka Level 2, has been riding on the back of an impressive array of releases, including the potent 'Bite The Bone' and the vibrant 'Soundboy Bash Up'. He steps back into the limelight with 'We Murk', a track full of character, that continues his string of underground rollers.

'We Murk' embodies Level 2's hallmark: uniting infectious basslines with irresistible rhythms, whilst contributing to the label's 30th-anniversary celebration by bringing some of that original V funk to the table.

Hailing from the legendary D&B scene of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Pedro Lima has been an inextricable fixture in the V camp since his 2009 Liquid V debut. Drawing inspiration from the colorful auditory heritage of his surroundings, Pedro has developed a sound marinated in funk, reggae, and Bristol-style rollers, dovetailing seamlessly into the visionary path blazed by Bryan Gee and Jumpin Jack Frost at V Recordings.

Over recent years his collaborative effort with DJ Chap, birthed the initial incarnation of Alibi, enriching his signature raw and rolling style with added layers of emotion and dark, techier styles, with their album 'Said & Done' proving to be a highlight in his time in the outfit. As 2022 unfolded, Pedro revived the Level 2 identity, delivering a series of solo works that have not only picked up where he left off but also leveraged years of experience and musical maturation to explore new, exhilarating avenues.
